The tour will be personally conducted by Hal Shevers, the founder and owner of Sporty's.
Hal is a Grumman enthusiast and Grumman Tigers were twice awarded to lucky winners of the Sporty's Sweepstakes.

See the attached jpeg images below!

DETAILS:

WHEN: Saturday July 10th, at 11.30 AM
WHERE: Clermont County Airport (KI69) about 20 minutes Grumman flying time almost due south of Dayton Wright Brothers (KMGY)

GETTING THERE:
Driving....
Take the 75 Freeway SOUTH to the I-275 ring road, go East on 275 to the Batavia exit (State Route 32) Take the 32 EAST and pass a Thorntons and then turn RIGHT at the Speedway. Go past one traffic light and take the next turn RIGHT at the little church, (Ignore the airport sign showing straight ahead which will take you to the wrong side of the airport!!) then about 300 yards, the next turn left which is Taylor's road. Follow Taylor's road about a half mile and you will see the airport. GPS works as well! just go to 2000 Sporty's Drive, Batavia Ohio
Flying....
Dead Reckoning... use the Cincinnati Terminal chart! East Fork Lake is the big landmark.
GPS: MGY --> I69 Direct or use MOAKS intersection or the GPS 22 approach which will keep you out of the Cincinnati Class B. The edge of Cincinnati Class B floor is 5000 feet on the direct route. Transponder mode C is required since I69 is within the 30 NM veil of CVG

Be VERY careful to have the brain and eyes out of the instrument panel since this route is very busy on a nice Saturday morning with parachute jumpers at I68, the HAO ILS 29, Blue Ash (ISZ) and the Lunken 21L ILS approaches all crowded together near the route. On a nice Saturday, LOTS of aircraft converge on I69 for the free hot dogs at noon.
I69 CTAF and UNICOM is 122.975
Cincinnati Approach for flight following is 121.0

Hal, Roscoe, Luann and I look forward to welcoming you to the home of the bright yellow Tiger, N16LC and one of the nicest GA airports anywhere.

See you there,

Neil Johnson
