Candidate Statement by Luann "Sparkle" Sieve, VPI would like to announce my candiancy for the position for President of the American Yankee Association. I have been a member since 2004. This is when I had the opportunity to attend my first convention in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Here, I met many great people that make the AYA a truly wonderful organization. I volunteered to help with the silent auction and even helped out with flour bombing. I had no idea how I was to help out, yet the wonderful people I met there showed me the ropes. That did it! I knew that volunteering in the AYA was the way to go and continues to be for me. Since then, I have volunteered for door prizes, van czarina and now as Region 5 Co-Director and Vice President. I am currently one of the co-chairs for the Dayton, Ohio, 2010 International Convention. Serving on the board has allowed me to witness how hard our board members work to keep the trust the AYA membership has given. The president has the good fortune to work with a wonderful team that strives to serve the people of the AYA. I respectfully submit my candidacy to serve in the role of President of the AYA to continue to serve the membership. |
VP Statement by James Candeletti My name is James Candeletti. At this time I would like to state my intent to run for vice president of the AYA. I joined the organization in 2004, shortly after becoming the owner of a 1979 Tiger. I attended my first convention in Glens Falls in 2007. My wife and I submitted the "new comers" article in the following edition of the Star. I feel strongly about this group, attending my second convention in Iowa the following year. Due to a death in the family we could not attend the Canadian convention. I plan on being in Ohio this summer. I have experience volunteering and being an officer for several different organizations over the years. My qualifications are as follows:

VP Statement
by Charles Adams, Regional Director Granbury, Texas Greetings fellow AYA members. My name is Charles Adams and I am submitting my name for candidacy for the position of Vice President of the American Yankee Association. My wife Carol and I have been members of the AYA since purchasing our AA-1 Yankee in 1994. We currently fly a 1978 Tiger. I am retired and hold a private pilots license with instrument rating. I am also an A&P/IA. Our first AYA convention was Sun River Oregon in 1995. You may have seen me around the various AYA conventions involved in spot landing, flour bombing, tach check, air operations or when needed working on members aircraft. Carol and I were convention co-chairs for the 2006 AYA convention held in Fredericksburg, Texas. I am currently the regional director for the AYA South Central Region 8. Volunteerism is what keeps the AYA going as an organization. I would like to continue forward in that great tradition in which others have so generously given in the past. I look forward to receiving your vote. Charlie Adams |
